Lost without Internet!

It has been a while since I have posted a blog because our internet was out for almost a week! It is crazy how much we need the internet and don't think about it until we don't have it. After about 4 days I had a huge list of things I need to do that involved the internet. I finally went to Grandma Powell's and used her computer (Thanks again!) so I could catch up!

Back in September we finally had the opportunity to camp with the Weber family! They usually go 3-4 times a year, but this was the only one we were able to make it to this year. Riley and I went over for the day on Saturday and enjoyed visiting. Hopefully we can make it to more next year!

Riley is still going to gymnastics every week. He is finally starting to learn how to jump and it is super cute! A few weeks ago when Kyle went with us I finally had the opportunity to take some pictures and videos. Hopefully you will enjoy! I am having trouble with the videos uploading so I will have to try that on another post.

Once or twice a year we like to go up to Chicago and stay with Kyle's cousins (Allison & Lauren). On October 1st we were able to go up and stay the night. Riley loves hanging out with the girls! And we go to surprise Kyle with lunch at Chick-fil-a! If you have been around Riley lately, you know he is pretty much obsessed with trains and buses. On our trip to the big city he got to ride on both! We spent the afternoon at the Children's Museum. Riley had such a good time and I would love to take him back sometime.

Since we had super nice October weather we made another trip to the zoo! It was over 70 degrees and we all enjoyed ourselves! I have some cute pictures from that day so I thought I would post them!

We had some beautiful October (that felt like August) weather for our trip the Dollinger's! We were so happy the Mauk (Chirs & Lynae) family could join us! It was alot of fun and we should do it agian next year!

And of course since it is October, we did celebrate Kyle's Birthday!! On Thursday (the 13th) I baked a cake for him and some of his family came down in the evening to celebrate! And on Friday (Kyle's Birthday), him and I went to Michigan to the Four Winds Casino! Even though we only went for the day, we still had a great time!

Zoo Time!

Last Friday Riley was one lucky boy! Not only did we take him to the zoo, but his Grandma Cindy and Great Grandma went with. We ended up having nice weather too. I thought it was going to be a really cool day, but we ended up not even needing the hats and gloves we brought!

I decided to take a few pictures of the petunias that Kyle planted this year around our new deck. They took off like crazy and were beautiful....even through this HOT summer!

Is it fall?

I know it is not technically fall yet, but I can't help but get excited! I love this weather! Today the high was only 62 and I thought it was going to be pretty chilly out, but actually it is super nice.

Riley has been sick so I wasn't sure we would be outside much today, but he really wanted to go outside so....we bundled up (coats, hats, gloves!) and off we went. By the time we got around the block, I was almost sweating! But believe me...I would rather be sweating from a day like today than sweating from a day that is over 100 degrees like we had this summer!

Since Riley was sick we did go to gymnastics this week, but I didn't get any pictures of him. Next week Kyle is going with so we WILL get some pictures!

Yesterday afternoon one of the neighbor kids came over and asked if it was ok if they used our backyard as part of their football game....OF COURSE! I just wish Kyle had the day off to go play with them! I love that they play outside all the time and I can only hope that when Riley is in Jr. High and High School that he still plays outside as much as he does now!

Since I haven't loaded an new pictures lately I thought I would post some pictures from last fall so we can all get excited for the weather to come!!

Here we go....

So we have decided to explore the world of blogging. Hopefully you will all follow this blog and keep up to date on our lives.

As most of you know, I am now a stay at home wife and mommy! I am enjoying every minute of being a family. Sometimes I wonder how I ever had time to work. The little man keeps me busy and I just love it!

We signed Riley up for a parent/tot gymnastics class. Today was the second week. He is still learning how things work, but he seems to like it. After class, when we got home I was getting him out of the car and he told me he wanted "more". I asked him if he wanted more gymnastics and he got a BIG smile on his face!

Kyle keeps busy with work. He is still on swing shift and on alot of his days off he is working overtime. He does not seem to mind and I still feel like I see him more than when I was working. Bless his heart....I couldn't have asked for a better husband!

Here is a quick picture update on the year we have had so far:
