Choo Choo Johnny's
Amber and Colt were just here for 2 weeks and we had so much fun!! We got to celebrate Colt's 3rd Birthday. Kyle and I had talked about taking Riley to Choo Choo Johnny's, but had not made it. It was the perfect place to take these two little ones!! They had such a great time and we will probably be back in the near future!

HIVES!
As most of you know, we have been dealing with hives since mid December. We have seen Riley's pediatrician, a dermatologist, and an allergist at the Children's hospital in Chicago. In the end.....it is just something that we hope he grows out of. He is on medicine in the morning and night to keep the hives manageable and Riley happy. But before we could get up to the Children's hospital to figure this out, we had to have him off his medicine for 5 days.....we didn't make it without some benadryl. It was a long weekend and we felt so bad for the little man! Here are some pictures of what he went through that weekend.
He may look happy, but BELIEVE me.....he was NOT!

Cool Dude!
Riley wanted to go outside and play in the sand and he said it was sunny and he needed his sun glasses. And I told him he needed to wear his hat too!
I love how I can finally get him to smile....all I have to say is "show me your teeth!"

Yup....he had a good time!
Every year we head to Bloomington for golf weekend. Riley gets to go with for the fun weekend and gets to spend Saturday at the pool. We spent the morning with my good friend Amy and then headed to the pool to visit. Riley was in and out of the pool at least 4 different times!! And with no nap he couldn't make it back to the hotel without falling asleep.
On Sunday Riley got to spend the morning with Colleen and her two kids who just loved playing with Riley!! It was his first time at their house and he didn't even hesitate to walk right in and help himself to their toys! Can't wait until next year!

Riley's Friends
Before we moved out of our house we had to make sure to have a few more play dates with Riley's friends. He sure does miss these two kids!
Hopefully at our new house we can find Riley some friends as good as these (but that could be really hard!)

Time to Move
So everything worked out and it came time to move everything out of our 1st house. With lots of help, we got everything moved out and cleaned up well before our closing date.

Water Time!
This summer we have found Riley's love for water! Last year we did swim lessons and so we did know he liked to be in the water, but this year he likes the water table, sprinkler, and slip & slide. I don't have any pictures, but he also LOVES to play in the sand. His water table has half water and half sand. He can play in the sand for a hour straight....and for a 2 1/2 year old that's a LONG time!
We were hoping to take him to the beach again this year, but we have not made it yet.
